FORMAT

Overview

This tournament consists of a Preliminary Round into a Final Round.

Preliminary Round: All players play 2 games of CATAN and play against different opponents in their 2nd game

Final Round: The top 4 players overall from the Preliminary Round play 1 game of CATAN to determine the winner

All games will be played using Settlers of CATAN 5th Edition game and its rules.

Preliminary Round Tiebreaker

During the Preliminary Round, the number of victories will be used to rank players.

In case of ties, the first tiebreaker will be the total sum of victory points across both games

The second tiebreaker will be the sum of the percentage of victory points the players reached at their two tables. If there are still any ties after that, lots will be drawn.

Time Limits

A time limit for turns will be enforced for all games. After a player has rolled the dice on their turn and collected resource cards where needed, a three (3) minute timer for them to complete their turn will begin.

No time limit will be placed on the game itself.

A game will not end until one player has reached 10 victory points.

Game Scores

At least one player at a table is to raise their hand when a winner at their table has been determined.

A Tournament Official will ask all players at the table for their scores and record them.
